BC Government Touts Record Amount of Surgeries in 2024
BC is changing the way surgeries are delivered so more people can get the care they need faster. And it's starting to make a difference. Completed surgeries are up and wait times are down. Extended operating room hours and more efficient operating rooms have led to an all-time record for the most surgeries completed. Hiring more of the health care workers who make up surgery teams (nurses, doctors, anesthesiologists and technicians) means the right teams are in place to care for people.
